Atlas Endurance Coaching Philosophy
Achieving lifelong endurance goals is not tied to physiology alone. We use science backed strategies to fine tune an athlete's understanding of their body's signals to establish an effective coaching strategy that produces results.
Help Athletes Learn About Their Physiology and Their Body
Your body is the best coach you will ever have. It gives you perfect advice right when you need it, every time. Unfortunately, becoming in tune with your body isn't always as easy as we hope it to be. Atlas Endurance Coaching's methodology helps athletes learn about what their body is telling them and how their body is coaching just as much as we are.
Data + Feel
Training data and your body's signals are equally important parts of the performance equation. Power data, heart rate, HRV, and other metrics are great indicators of performance and fitness and Atlas Endurance Coaching works to leverage these data points to coach athletes on how to correlate and enhance their body's signals to boost performance.
Psychology in Addition to Physiology
An athlete's psychology is just as important, if not more important, than their physiology. Atlas Endurance Coaching's training philosophy places a special emphasis on ensuring athlete's focus on improving and maintaining their mental health, in addition to achieving their endurance performance goals.
Recovery
As athletes we all love to achieve a new personal record or to get on top of the podium at a race. We enjoy training and the thought of taking a break to recover might might not seem appealing. Atlas Endurance Coaching understands the importance of recovery. We put a heavy emphasis on recovery and ensure it's right at the top of the priority list for all athletes. We strive to avoid injuries, but realizing our adaptations and improvements is even better, and that's where recovery comes in!
Having Fun and Enjoying the Endurance Lifestyle
We all choose the endurance sports lifestyle because it pushes our boundaries and shows us how far we can go. We love that it keeps us healthy and gives us something to work towards. This is meant to be a lifelong journey, but it's also meant to be fun. Atlas Endurance Coaching's philosophy places a special emphasis on having fun and making sure that we are enjoying every swim, bike, or run we do.
